What type of items do you deliver?

We can move most items for you, from small computer monitors up to large sofas, fridges, wardrobes etc. We are fully insured and can move valuables including paintings, ornaments, and jewelry to name just a few things.

Operating a fleet of fully electric vehicles from our Hertfordshire base, we cover mainly London and the surrounding areas to the north of London. However, we have access to Euro 6 ultra-low emission vehicles with conventional engines for occasional long-distance jobs. Please contact us for a quote.

Do you charge extra for jobs within the congestion charge zone?

No. At the current time fully electric vehicles are exempt from the congestion charge. This is due to change in the future, but we do not and will not charge extra for jobs in the CC zone.

Can we book you for a specific time?

Yes. Our collections and deliveries will be booked for a time slot usually of 60 minutes (e.g. 10-11am) so that you do not need to wait in all day. If you need an item collecting or delivering at a precise time let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Does delivery take place the same day as collection?

Yes, in almost all cases the service is for delivery of your item the same day we collected it. If for any reason this is not possible, we will let you know when discussing your booking. If you need us to store an item for you for up to two days after collection before delivering this is usually possible.

Do you operate a 2 man team or will we need to help you with our large item?

Depending on what you need moving we’ll send either a one- or two-man team. We will discuss this when you book and if you need two of us to safely move the item(s) that’s what we’ll provide for the quoted price.

Can we hire you for a day/week of multiple deliveries?

Depending on availability, we are happy to provide local businesses a service where we complete multiple deliveries over a day or more, or complete office moves over the course of a day or week. Please contact us with specifics of the job you require completing.

Waste & House Clearance

Where do you dispose of waste?

We are fully licensed to carry and dispose of waste legally. Where we collect items that can be re-used or up cycled, that is our first port of call. We will therefore sort waste to establish what can go to local charity shops, for example. Where waste has to be disposed of we take it to a commercial waste center for further sorting and recycling.

Are there any items you are not able to accept?

We generally are not able to accept hazardous or biological waste. Some items incur a surcharge as the cost to us to dispose of is increased (e.g. plasterboard, construction/demolition waste). Please discuss with us if you have any unusual waste or anything that would fall into those categories.

Can you do full house clearances?

Of course. We are happy to take care of complete properties with significant amounts of items needing removal. We can leave the property completely empty ready to be cleaned. We have a cleaning partner and can get you a quote for a full deep clean to be carried out as soon as we have cleared the property too.

Will you collect house clearance items for free if they can be sold on?

We do not sell on items that are collected ourselves.

 

If they still have life in them, we will pass on to selected partners (local charities) but do not receive anything for this. If you need your clearance done for free you may be able to find a local charity or company who will be willing to do this for you if there are any items of value.

Is there anything you cannot move?

There is not much we can’t move. Some items require specialists (e.g. pianos, high end snooker tables), and you should discuss with us if you have any exceptionally large or heavy items to ensure we can accommodate.

Can you only move me within the zones you operate in?

Some additional charges may apply if for example you had a fourth floor flat and lots of large furniture to move, but all prices are agreed up front.

We offer a 10% discount to NHS staff.

Additionally, if you are a charitable organization or NHS department needing assistance with moving items (e.g. PPE or tests) relating to the COVID-19 pandemic please contact us .

We have Goods in Transit insurance up to £10,000 as well as public liability insurance. Our vehicles all have commercial van insurance.

Is the price fixed or will it change once the job is underway?

The work to be done and our fees are all agreed up front.

Our pricing page will give you an initial estimate. We then discuss the job with you to agree a firm quote and from there the price is set. This price will not be adjusted based on time taken to complete, and there will be no nasty surprise costs at the end.
